ServSafe® Food Handler
Note: INDIANA ONLY RECOGNIZES THIS TRAINING FOR BUSINESSES OPERATED OUT OF A PRIVATE HOME (HOME BASED). If you work in a licensed food service establishment, you likely need a ServSafe Manager course.
The ServSafe Food Handler certification is an online training program from the National Restaurant Association that provides line-level food-service employees and home-based vendors with basic food safety knowledge. The course covers essential topics such as personal hygiene, cross-contamination, time and temperature control, and cleaning and sanitation to prevent foodborne illness. After completing the training and passing a short, 40-question exam, the employee is awarded a printable Certificate of Achievement from ServSafe.
Hoosier Hospitality Consulting also offers LIVE ServSafe Food Handler classes for groups of 20 people or more. Contact us for details and pricing.
